Description
In this lunch and learn, different campus and community contributors to the “Wisconsin in the World: Internationalization at the University of Wisconsin-Madison” book project will be sharing about their work (past, present, and future) through an information fair and a networking buffet lunch, which will then be followed by a panel discussion.

This book project involved 90 contributors and represents contributions from across eight schools/colleges/institutes and three divisions. It provides a cross-sectional view into how UW units, faculty, staff, and student organizations have been engaging in and contributing to UW’s global and international engagement. While not exhaustive, the edited volume provides a robust view of internationalization at UW–Madison going back to its inception in the 19th century. In light of UW’s 175th anniversary, one cross-cutting focus of the book is the Wisconsin Idea and how it has informed projects, partnerships, and pedagogy, while also considering ways in which UW–Madison could interpret this commitment in a more inclusive way moving forward.

If you are experiencing difficulties registering, please email registrations2@ohr.wisc.edu. To request accommodations due to disability or medical need, please contact Elise Ahn (elise.ahn@wisc.edu), preferably at least two weeks before the event.
